PPSC announces 1,958 jobs for charge nurse female BS-16

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced more than 1000 jobs for the post of Charge Nurse Female (BS-16).

In their advertisement number 10/2026, the PPSC has offered 1,958 vacancies for female Charge Nurses in the Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department, Punjab.

As per the ad, the recruitment will be on a contract basis for a period of three years.

The posts of female Charge Nurses are registered under Case No. 33-RD/2025 on the PPSC official website, categorising the vacancies as follows:

  • Open merit =1801
  • Special persons quota=59
  • Minority quota=98
  • Total= 1,958

Who is eligible for Charge Nurse Female jobs?

Candidates are required to have one of the following qualifications to apply for the post:

  • BSc Nursing Generic (four years) along with valid registration from the Pakistan Nursing Council; or
  • Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with valid registration from the Pakistan Nursing Council.

PPSC has made it very clear in its ad that preference will be given to graduates of government institutions.

The age limit for female candidates is stated as 21 to 35 years, with the applicable age concession to be considered under government rules.

Candidates must have a domicile from any district of Punjab, while the place of posting can be anywhere in Punjab.

Application deadline for Charge Nurse Female jobs

The closing date for online applications is October 5, 2026.

The application fee to apply for the post is Rs600, which is to be paid online through Jazz Cash, Easypaisa, and other eligible banking apps.

PPSC has advised applicants to read the instructions available on its official website before submitting their applications.

The commission also said that candidates should rely only on information published through its official channels.

The written examination, if held, will consist of 100 marks and a 90-minute test, with the syllabus based on qualification-related questions, according to the recruitment notice.
