We strongly condemn negative propaganda against COAS & CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, says ex-servicemen

Asim Munir

Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS) has strongly condemned the negative and baseless propaganda against Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ.

Addressing a press conference, the ex-servicemen also heavily criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and called for a ban on the party.

They further stated that PTI is hungry for power and urged that the May 9 case be concluded swiftly so that Imran Khan is held accountable.

PESS President and former Senator Lieutenant General (R) Abdul Qayyum said Pakistan is facing a hybrid war, with hostile elements using Afghan soil for terrorist attacks. He added that this undeclared war continues India’s strategy announced after the 1965 war as “Operation Sindoor.”

Referring to the recent statement by DG ISPR, he said that PTI leaders are aiding Indian propaganda and harming national security.

The PESS president said that, to face national challenges, it is essential to follow Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s principles of unity, discipline, and strong belief. He urged political leaders, the media, state institutions, and the public to prioritise national security over personal interests.
