Sufiyan Muqeem, the spinner of Peshawar Zalmi was named the Player of the Tournament for PSL 11 after a Superb campaign with the ball.
The season was finished by the left-arm spinner with 22 wickets in 11 matches and ended as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker.
During the tournament he bowled with an economy rate of 7.20. He had an average of 14.40, and he also had a strike rate of 12. His best figures in the match stand at 4 wickets for 32 runs.
Performances of Sufiyan Muqeem also earned him the Fazal Mahmood Cap. The cap was won by him due to being the leading wicket-taker. He also got the bowler of the tournament award.
Babar Azam, the captain of Zalmi also enjoyed a standout season. He was awarded the Hanif Mohammad cap. He finished as the leading run scorer in the tournament. In 11 matches he scored 588 runs. He had an average of 73.50. His strike rate was 145.90.
In the final, Babar Azam got out for a duck for his campaign overall, which included three hundreds and three half-centuries. This made him the batter of the year.
Two more individual honours were picked by Peshawar Zalmi. Kusal Mendis, wicket-keeper batsman was also named the wicket keeper of the tournament. He scored 550 runs in this tournament.
He had the second highest runs in the tournament and also took two catches behind the stumps.
The fielder of the tournament was given to Farhan Yousaf. He took 10 catches across the tournament.
Only one award did not go to the Zalmi team and it was the All-rounder of the tournament. Shadab Khan the captain of the Islamabad United got that award. He took 17 wickets during the season and scored 173 runs.
