The proposed schedule for the eleventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has come out, with an official announcement expected to come out next week.

According to the sources, the tournament will begin on March 26 with a high-profile match between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kings at Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The iconic stadium is also going to host two playoff matches including the final on May 3 and Rawalpindi is poised to host the first qualifier.

The tournament format will see all the eight teams play a round of seven matches each in the first round.

In the second phase, the teams will split into two groups with the games being played 3 matches on each side.

The first group will include Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings and Hyderabad Kingsmen and Islamabad United, Pindiz, Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans will be in the second group.

The first qualifier is to take place on April 28 in Rawalpindi, the first eliminator will be held on April 29 in Lahore, while the third eliminator is to take place on May 1 also in Lahore.

In a major move off the field, consolidated media and broadcast rights to the HBL Pakistan Super League 2026 to 2029 cycle have been won by Walee Technologies with a record bid at Rs2,611 crore.

The agreement covers television rights and digital live streaming rights in the territory of Pakistan and most of the countries of the world excluding India.

Muhammad Ahsan Tahir, Chief Executive Officer, Walee Technologies, emphasised that the company is keen on using technology to boost the fan engagement.

“Our mission is to minimise the gap between the stadium and the screen using modern technology” he said.

“We want to deliver a viewing experience that has been developed in Pakistan that will reach fans throughout the world.”

This landmark deal places Walee Technologies at the core of how PSL matches are to be experienced by cricket fans both domestically and internationally during the upcoming seasons.
