Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has issued an important notice regarding the maintenance of Submarine cables and the disruption of the internet in the evening hours.
PTCL wrote in a post on X, “Dear Customers, A maintenance activity is planned on one of our Submarine cables to repair a fault by the International Cable Consortium. The activity will start on 14 April 2026, which can last till 20 April 2026.
During this period, customers may face internet service degradation during evening hours.
We regret the inconvenience, please.”
Internet disruptions during evening hours
It is important to mention that the internet disruption will be in the evening hours due to maintenance work. In the daytime, the internet speed will be fine, and users can do their online work comfortably.
According to the issued notification, the maintenance work will start on April 14, and it can last till 20 April.
PTCL issued the dates of maintenance work to facilitate the users and keep them aware of the issue.
It is important to mention that the PTCL internet speed is good compared to other internet networks.

In the issued statement, the PAA confirmed that the authority launched 5G service at the Islamabad International Airport in collaboration with a private telecom company to provide fast internet to the passengers.
“The newly launched 5G services will enhance passengers’ travel experience with high-speed connectivity and advanced digital amenities,” said the PAA statement.
