PTI all set to hold massive public rally at Mazar-e-Quaid’s gate tomorrow

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to hold massive public rally outside the ‘Public Gate of Mazar-e-Quaid’ tomorrow Sunday as Sindh government did not grant permission for the rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah.

While addressing the press conference PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh revealed that despite completing all required legal and administrative procedures, PTI was not given permission to hold the rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah.

Haleem Adil Sheikh stated that the Sindh government has earlier assured the PTI local leadership to hold rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah but sudden it took the U-turn and refused to get permission.

“Even on Saturday morning, Provincial Minister Nasir Hussain Shah assured that arrangements for the rally would begin and permission would be granted. However, no formal approval was issued’ he reiterated.

Responding a question PTI leader stated that the Sindh police stopped preparations at Bagh-e-Jinnah, prevented rally materials from being transported to the venue, and locked the gates of the park. He said that due to the delay, it was no longer possible to prepare for the rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah on short notice, even if permission were granted now.

Haleem Adil Sheikh criticized the Sindh government for what he termed unnecessary hurdles and reiterated PTI’s commitment to holding a peaceful political gathering.

It seems that Sindh government’s mood has sudden changed as earlier on the arrival of KP Chief Minister the Sindh government top officials repeatedly stated to extend cooperation to the visiting chief minister for carrying out political activities in the province.

A day earlier Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the Sindh government firmly believes in democratic values and is implementing a policy of free movement across the province but now not given permission of holding rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah raising some questions.
