It is pertinent to mention here that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced that a long march towards Islamabad will begin today, with the route and schedule for the first phase also unveiled.
According to ARY News, the first phase of the long march will begin from Ghundi Chowk in Lakki Marwat.
Afridi said people from different districts would join the march at 1pm today. The caravan will travel through Karak, Kohat, Peshawar and Charsadda as it moves towards Islamabad.
He said participants from Karak would join the caravan at midnight on October 5, while the march would leave Karak at 12:30am. The participants would stay overnight near Kohat.
According to the chief minister, people from Kohat, Hangu, Kurram and Orakzai would join the march at noon on October 6. The caravan would then leave Kohat for Peshawar, with participants scheduled to stay overnight near Matni.
Afridi said the march would depart from Budhber in Peshawar at 12:30pm on October 7.
All caravans participating in the long march would gather at Khairabad on October 8, he added.
The chief minister said the plan for the next phase of the long march would be announced at Khairabad.
