Web desk: A local holiday has been declared in the Narowal district of Punjab, Pakistan, on November 1 to mark the annual Urs of Hazrat Pir Syed Jamaat Ali Shah Lasani.
Since Sunday is also a holiday, the residents will enjoy a two-day break as devotees gather in Alipur Syedan Sharif for the celebrations.
According to the details, a public holiday has been declared on November 1 on the occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Pir Syed Jamaat Ali Shah Lasani.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza has issued a formal notification as well in this regard.
Public Holiday
The administration has stated that since Sunday is also a public holiday, the entire district will be able to observe a two-day holiday.
The Urs celebrations will be held in Alipur Syedan Sharif, where a large number of pilgrims from all over the country will arrive, and devotees will pay homage to the venerable figure.
The district administration has completed all arrangements for the pilgrims, including accommodation, food, and cleanliness, so that order and convenience can be maintained on the occasion of the Urs.
Strict security arrangements have also been made. Police, Rescue 1122 and health department staff have been assigned special duties and will perform their duties 24 hours a day.
Quran recitation, Naat recitation and spiritual gatherings will be organised during the Urs, in which renowned scholars and mashaikhs will shed light on the religious and spiritual services of Hazrat Pir Syed Jamaat Ali Shah.
Special facilities for food, clean drinking water, ablution, medical aid and rest have been provided for the Urs participants.
The district administration has appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the administration and play their role in maintaining peace and order on the occasion of the Urs.
