The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has invited eligible IT companies across Punjab to take part in the Chief Minister IT Internship Program.
The Chief Minister IT Internship Program is a government supported initiative. It is expected to strengthen the digital workforce in Punjab and support growth in the IT industry.
The program seeks to connect academic learning with industry needs. It will provide fresh graduates in IT and Computer Science with practical work experience in professional settings.
CM IT internship program 2026: how IT companies can participate
Under this program, companies can hire skilled graduates with government support.
Each company will receive Rs12,500 per intern every month as administrative support. The Government of Punjab will fully fund a monthly stipend of Rs50,000 for each intern.
Companies can choose candidates based on their own needs. They can train interns according to their technical and operational requirements.
This will also help them prepare a skilled workforce for future hiring.
To qualify for it the companies have to be registered with the Pakistan Software Export Board.
They must have a working office in Punjab. They also need to provide proper office facilities and a professional environment for interns.
In this regard, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the Government of Punjab wants to empower youth through this initiative.
He said the program will strengthen links between industry and academia and support the continued growth of Punjab’s IT sector.
KPITB six-month internship
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board has announced a six month internship program for women.
The program will offer paid opportunities to women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It aims to give them practical experience in technology and digital fields.
Women selected for the internship will work in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, UI and UX, web development, application development, graphic design, and digital marketing.
According to media reports, selected interns will receive Rs 30,000 per month during the internship.
