Punjab Police brings driving license services to doorsteps

Web desk: Punjab Police has taken an important step to make obtaining driving licenses easier and reduce the daily difficulties faced by citizens.

A mobile driving license van will operate on December 17 at Moza Adha Diska Road near Chowk Pliyan.

The van will provide services from 9 AM to 3 PM. Citizens can apply for new driving licenses, learner permits, and other related services directly from the mobile van.

The initiative aims to save citizens from unnecessary trips to offices and allow them to complete legal requirements closer to their homes.

Many people face long queues, time constraints, and repeated visits when applying for a driving license.

The mobile van will help resolve these issues by offering fast and organised services. Police officers will be present at the site to guide citizens through all legal and administrative procedures.

Punjab Police has urged citizens to bring their necessary documents. It includes national identity cards and other required papers to avoid any difficulties.

Data released by the authorities shows that more than 100,000 people obtained learner driving licenses.

While approximately 28,800 received regular driving licenses.

Additionally, over 78,000 individuals renewed their learner, regular, and international licenses. And more than 15,000 reissued lost licenses, placing significant pressure on the licensing system.
