Several educational boards across Punjab have announced the results of the 2026 intermediate annual examinations, with female students recording higher pass rates than male students in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
The results showed varying success rates across the province, with Faisalabad recording an overall pass percentage of 71.13%, followed by Sahiwal at 62.36%, Rawalpindi at 60.8% and Bahawalpur at 59.92%.
Faisalabad Board
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Faisalabad announced its intermediate results, with female students securing seven of the top eight positions.
A total of 109,245 candidates appeared in the examinations, while 77,708 were declared successful. The overall pass percentage stood at 71.13%.
Lahore Board
The Lahore Board announced its 2026 intermediate results, recording an overall pass rate of 65%.
More than 189,000 students appeared, with over 123,000 declared successful. Female students recorded a 75% pass rate compared with 51% among male students.
In pre-medical, the overall pass rate was 83%, with 85% of female and 75% of male candidates passing. Pre-engineering recorded a 79% success rate, with female students at 86% and males at 75%.
Bahawalpur Board
The Bahawalpur Board recorded an overall pass rate of 59.92%, the lowest in three years. The rate was 63.53% in 2025 and 60.16% in 2024.
Of 60,592 candidates, 36,304 passed while 24,288 failed. Akaisha Tariq from Bahawalnagar secured first position with 1,158 marks.
Multan Board
Ali bin Abdullah from Khanewal secured first position with 1,163 marks, followed by Fakhira Zafar with 1,162 and Muhammad bin Abdullah with 1,160 marks. The detailed results will be announced the following morning.
Rawalpindi Board
The Rawalpindi Board recorded a 60.8% overall pass rate. Female students achieved a 67.56% pass rate, compared with 46.52% among males.
Sahiwal Board
The Sahiwal Board recorded a 62.36% pass rate, with 28,844 of 46,246 candidates declared successful. Ayesha Ashfaq topped the board with 1,167 marks.
Sargodha Board
Aneeka Safdar secured first position with 1,162 marks, while Kazim Raza stood second with 1,159 marks. The board said the results were prepared according to transparency, merit and prescribed rules.
