The administration of Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) has ordered people staying illegally in its hostels to leave immediately, on Monday.
According to an official notification issued today, such occupants have been given a three-day deadline to vacate the hostel buildings.
The order says that all unauthorised people have to leave the hostel areas. These include common rooms, mess halls, and study rooms. These areas should be vacated within the given time.
The university administration has also warned that strict action will be taken against hostel allottees who allow or support illegal staying in the hostels.

QAU resumes on-campus classes
In a separate update, QAU has announced that on-campus classes and academic activities will resume from April 27.
According to the notification, all previous safety and control measures will remain in place. Departments have been told to strictly follow the rules.
The university had shifted to online classes on April 20 due to security and traffic-related issues in Islamabad.
Now, students and staff have been asked to follow all instructions and cooperate with the administration so that normal academic work can continue smoothly.
Delay in VC appointment causes administrative issues
Recently, a consecutive two-month delay in the appointment of the Vice Chancellor (VC) of QAU Islamabad caused administrative problems on the campus.
As per the officials of the university at that time, there was no one to address the matters of students, faculty, and financial affairs of the institution.
The QAU staff said that there is not even an acting VC present at the moment in order to deal with this difficult situation.
More than 1200 degrees are yet to be signed by the next VC, as they cannot be issued without it, said the staff.
A university official added that campus meetings, syndicate meetings, selection board meetings, and several other important meetings could not be scheduled due to the absence of the university’s head, reports add.
