Five suspected RAW agents arrested from Muzaffarabad

Pakistan’s premier intelligence agency, ISI have arrested five individuals in Muzaffarabad in a targeted operation, allegedly linked to RAW, according to sources.

ISI has once again foiled the plans of the cowardly enemy.

The raid, conducted in the Challa area on secret intelligence, led to the recovery of digital devices and sensitive material.

It was during the search operation that cops seized laptops, cellular phones and other communication devices from the possession of the arrested suspects, officials said.

According to the initial forensic analysis of the digital devices, they were reportedly found to contain a number of suspicious contacts and the presence of sensitive material, which led investigators to conduct additional investigation.

Data analysis teams are now looking into communication patterns and any external connections, records and encrypted files are also being looked at in detail, sources added.

Further developments followed when the man among the detainees, provided information during interrogation, and authorities were led to a hidden weapons cache.

Security forces then found another seven automatic weapons, some grenades and other military equipment at various sites.

The recovery means the investigation has extended much wider, according to officials.

The case is still live and intelligence and law enforcement officials are still trying to build up evidence and ascertain any possible organised nature of the incident.

A subsequent interrogation reportedly uncovered a large cache of weapons, including automatic arms and grenades.

The sketches of the arrested individuals were also released by the intelligence agency.
