Man dies during hearing at the Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD: A resident of Rawalpindi passed away due to a heart attack after a hearing at the Supreme Court related to the construction of his house.

The man identified as Abid Hussain was present in the court for a hearing of his case, which had been pending with the court since last year.  

Today, the hearing was fixed before a two-member bench comprising Justice Irfan Saadat Khan and Justice Shehzad Malik.

The case was listed as Muhammad Ramzan vs. Abid Hussain, serial number eight. It was filed in the Supreme Court on 22 July 2024, and its first hearing took place on 11 November 2025.

During today’s hearing, the case was adjourned. Abid Hussain suffered a heart attack at the Supreme Court reception on his way back and passed away while being transferred to the hospital.
