Rescue 1122 Multan issues emergency plan for Eid ul Azha 2026

The Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 Multan has released a detailed emergency plan for Eid ul Azha 2026, placing rescue teams on heightened alert to guarantee a quick response and continuous emergency services throughout the festive period.

The emergency strategy was concluded during a high-level meeting led by District Emergency Officer Dr. Hussain Mian, following the directives of Secretary Emergency Services Dr. Rizwan Naseer.

As part of the plan, Rescue 1122 will position ambulances, fire and rescue vehicles, and mobile emergency posts at major Eid gatherings, mosques, recreational areas, and other public venues across the district to assist citizens during the Eid holidays.

All rescue personnel will remain on 24-hour high alert and will be equipped with advanced medical and firefighting tools to effectively manage any emergency situation, according to officials.

Special deployment measures have also been arranged in the tehsils of Jalalpur Pirwala and Shujaabad to ensure swift emergency response in suburban and rural regions of Multan.

Mobile emergency posts to be set up across Multan

Rescue 1122 officials stated that mobile emergency posts will be set up at critical locations, including Central Eidgah on Khanewal Road, Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh, Abdali Mosque on Abdali Road, Mosque Umar Bin Khattab in Shah Rukn-e-Alam Colony, Saddar Cantt, Askari Lake, Hussain Agahi, Vehari Chowk, Al-Quresh Colony in Muzaffarabad, and Haideria Mosque in Gulgasht Colony.

In addressing the rescue personnel, Dr. Hussain Mian encouraged officials to maintain their commitment and professionalism in their duties.

Rescue 1122 has also urged citizens to immediately contact the emergency helpline 1122 in the event of any unfortunate incident and to take preventive measures to avoid emergencies during Eid ul Azha.

The department has advised the public to refrain from swimming in lakes, rivers, and canals, avoid hazardous activities such as one-wheeling, strictly follow traffic regulations, and ensure wearing helmets while riding motorcycles.
