Rs40,000 Premium Prize Bond will be held on June 10

Rs25000 Prize Bond winners

The quarterly draw for the Rs40,000 Premium Prize Bond is scheduled to take place on June 10, 2026, in Muzaffarabad, offering bondholders a chance to win millions of rupees in cash prizes.

According to details, the first prize of Rs80 million (Rs8 crore) will be awarded to one lucky winner. In addition, three winners will each receive Rs30 million (Rs3 crore) as second prizes.

A further 660 winners will be awarded Rs500,000 each, bringing the total number of prizes in the draw to 664.

The Rs40,000 Premium Prize Bond is part of the government-backed savings scheme operated by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS). Unlike traditional bearer prize bonds, Premium Prize Bonds are registered in the name of the investor and also provide a six-monthly profit at rates notified by the federal government.

Under the scheme, investments and profits earned on Premium Prize Bonds are exempt from compulsory Zakat deductions. However, withholding tax on profit and prize money is deducted in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.

Prize money for winning bonds is automatically credited to the registered investor’s bank account, eliminating the need for a separate claim process.

Currently, Premium Prize Bonds are available in two denominations: Rs40,000 and Rs25,000.

Investors eagerly awaiting the upcoming draw can check the winning numbers once the results are officially announced on June 10.
