It is worth mentioning here that Sarfraz Nawaz was a well-known player associated with the Pakistan national cricket team. He represented Pakistan in 55 Test matches and also played 45 One Day Internationals (ODIs). Apart from his cricket career, he also tried his hand at politics.
He played an important role in Pakistan’s first Test series victories against India and England. Between 1969 and 1984, he consistently troubled opposing batsmen with his reverse swing, a skill for which he is considered one of the early pioneers.
Although his family was originally involved in the construction business, he was determined from the beginning to make a name for himself in cricket. In 1985, he married Pakistani film actress Rani. Before that, he had married the daughter of former cricketer Mian Saeed Ahmed.
