This is a great opportunity for young and talented players, particularly from Punjab Province to participate in the National Junior Squash Championship.
The first-ever Sargodha Under-15 National Junior Squash Championship will be held from 4th February to 6, marking a historic milestone for the city and its growing squash culture.
The championship is being organized by the Sargodha Division Squash Association under the supervision of the Punjab Squash Association. Secretary of the Sargodha Division Squash Association, Tariq Awan, described the event as a significant achievement for Sargodha, saying it would play a vital role in promoting junior squash and identifying emerging talent at an early age.
According to the organisers, the competition will feature players in the Under-15 category, with a main draw of 32 players. All participating players will arrive in Sargodha on February 3, and comprehensive arrangements for accommodation and meals are being finalised to ensure their comfort.
Tariq Awan further stated that, with the special support of District Sports Officer Saima Manzoor, the championship will be conducted in a highly professional manner, meeting international standards of organisation.
Matches will be played at the Sargodha Squash Complex located in the Sports Stadium, as well as at the squash courts of the Sargodha Gymkhana Club. The championship will be formally inaugurated on February 4 by Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Captain (R) Muhammad Waseem.
Organisers believe the event will open a new chapter in the promotion of squash in Sargodha and provide a valuable platform for local players to showcase their skills at the national level.
