Indian actor Satish Shah, a famous figure, has passed away at the age of 74.
According to reports, he had a serious kidney disease. He also underwent a kidney transplant a few months ago.
The actor passed away in Mumbai, and his last rites will be performed tomorrow (Sunday) in the city.
His close friend, JD Majethia, confirmed the news.
He also revealed that Satish Shah remained positive and confident about making a recovery, and he had even mentioned plans to resume shooting for a project in November.
Satish Shah was among the few actors who worked with all the major Bollywood stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. He was a known face both in Pakistan in India.
He appeared in over 250 movies in his career, including Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), and Om Shanti Om (2007).
He also starred in the 2004 television show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai as Indravadhan Sarabhai.
Shah is survived by his wife, Madhu Shah, a designer.
On the film front, Shah was last seen in the 2014 comedy Humshakals, directed by Sajid Khan.
Earlier this week, renowned Indian actor Govardhan Asrani, who was popularly known as Asrani in the film world, passed away in Mumbai on Monday after a prolonged illness.
