Saudi Arabia’s GO Telecommunications Group will establish the GO AI-Hub Pakistan in October 2025 to strengthen artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and innovation ties between Riyadh and Islamabad.
Riyadh meeting sets a clear roadmap for technological advancement
The announcement followed a meeting at GO Group headquarters in Riyadh between Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and senior executives.
According to an official statement issued on Saturday, both sides reviewed partnership tracks that include data centre development, technical talent training, and expansion of digital infrastructure in Pakistan.
As a result, the parties outlined priority areas that align with regional connectivity goals and near term execution.
AI Hub builds talent, knowledge, and solutions
The GO AI Hub will operate as a platform for knowledge transfer, capacity building, and co creation of digital solutions across emerging technologies.
The company’s strengths in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data driven services will anchor joint projects with Pakistani partners in government, academia, and industry.
In practical terms, planned programs include skills boot camps, applied research cohorts, and pilot deployments that target real world use cases in finance, health, and public services.
Digital Nation Vision frames national ambition
Finally, Minister Shaza Fatima praised GO Group’s capabilities and linked the initiative to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Digital Nation Vision Pakistan.
The national agenda seeks to position Pakistan as a regional technology hub by attracting investment, nurturing talent, and modernising infrastructure.
Therefore, the AI Hub’s official launch ceremony, expected to gather senior government representatives and industry leaders from both countries, will signal a structured pathway for collaboration, early product development, and measurable outcomes over the coming year.
In sum, the initiative connects capital, expertise, and market demand to accelerate Pakistan’s digital transformation, with clear milestones.
