The security forces have neutralised 10 militants in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to the statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), six personnel were martyred during anti terrorism operations and clashes in the northwestern province of KP, while 10 militants were sent to hell immediately.
The operations took place between 15 and 17 September 2026 in different parts of the province.
According to the ISPR, six militants were killed during an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, following reports of their presence in the area.
The military said a firefight broke out after security forces targeted militant positions, resulting in the deaths of six members of the group.
A separate clash in Hangu resulted in four more militants being killed, the ISPR said.
The military described the militants as members of Fitna al-Khawarij, a term Pakistan uses for militants associated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The ISPR also alleged that the group was backed by India, a claim that has been disputed by New Delhi.
The ISPR said that on 17 September, a convoy of security forces was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED).
The blast killed six members of the security forces, according to the military.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the militants killed during the operations, the ISPR said, adding that the group had been involved in several attacks in the area.
Security forces are continuing clearance operations in the affected areas, according to the military.
The ISPR said counter-terrorism operations would continue under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, a campaign approved by Pakistan’s federal apex committee under the National Action Plan.
The military said the deaths of the six personnel reinforced its commitment to protecting the country.
