The Balochistan government has launched a new telehealth application called Sehat Dehleez, allowing residents to receive free medical consultations from qualified doctors without visiting a hospital.

The service is available 24 hours a day and is designed to help people across the province, especially those living in remote areas where medical facilities are difficult to reach.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced the initiative and shared details of its response during the first 24 hours.

According to the chief minister, the platform received 791 consultation calls during its first day of operation. 495 medical consultations were completed, while 718 calls included information about the callers’ locations.

The service reached residents in 35 districts of Balochistan, showing demand for healthcare support through digital platforms.

Bugti welcomed the response and said it reflected public confidence in the government’s healthcare initiative.

He explained that many people in Balochistan face difficulties reaching hospitals and clinics because of long travel distances and harsh weather conditions.

Moreover, Sehat Dehleez has been introduced by the People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Balochistan to improve access to medical advice.

The platform provides consultations for general health concerns, common illnesses, maternal healthcare and children’s health.

Residents can speak with qualified doctors and receive guidance without travelling to a healthcare centre for an initial consultation.

People can access Sehat Dehleez through its web application or Android app using QR codes shared by the organisation.

The service is intended to make healthcare more convenient for communities with limited access to hospitals and doctors.

The provincial government hopes the initiative will improve healthcare access through digital technology.
