Senator Mushtaq booked over F-10 protest

An FIR has been registered against Senator Mushtaq and Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai over the protest and vandalism in F-10 Markaz, the private media outlet reported on Monday.  

According to the FIR, around 500 individuals attended the protest and blocked the road for traffic. The protesters continued protesting after the police warning.  

Social media reports also confirmed that protesters attacked different government vehicles, including the media DGNG. Several police personnel were injured as the protesters pelted stones.

An anti-terrorism court handed Senator Mushtaq and other accused to Islamabad police on three-day physical remand.

Earlier, negotiations between Senator Mushtaq and the administration were successful, and he cancelled his trip to Rawalakot, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), according to reports on Tuesday.

Senator Mushtaq has decided to cancel his trip to Rawalakot and will soon return to Islamabad, according to sources in the AJK government.

Before this, Senator Mushtaq announced in a post on the social media platform X that on June 23 he will go from Islamabad to Rawalakot, Azad Kashmir.
