Pakistan batter Sidra Amin has made a major leap in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Rankings, breaking into the top 10 following her outstanding performances in the ongoing series.
The experienced right-hander climbed to ninth place after scoring 57 runs and an unbeaten century in the first two matches. Her consistent run of form saw her overtake India captain Harmanpreet Kaur in the rankings.
Sidra’s rise highlights Pakistan’s growing impact on the international women’s cricket stage, with several players from Pakistan and Sri Lanka making notable improvements in the latest rankings update.
Pakistan’s national team player Gul Feroza has climbed 18 places to reach 54th position, while Sri Lanka’s Vishmi Gunaratne has moved up 16 places to a career-best 39th position.
Sri Lanka’s Haritha Samaraweera has also improved her ranking, moving up three places to a joint career-best 17th position.
Meanwhile, Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu has climbed to 32nd place in the ODI bowling rankings and remains eighth in the all-rounders’ rankings.
In addition, Pakistan bowlers Um-e-Hani and Syeda Aroob have made notable progress in the Women’s ODI Bowling Rankings, moving up 11 places to 53rd and 63rd positions, respectively.
