The Sindh Education Department has announced the dates for this year’s winter break, it was confirmed on Thursday.

A spokesperson for the department said that all educational institutes across the province, both public and private, will observe winter holidays from December 22 to December 31. Classes are expected to resume as usual from January 1.

The spokesperson added that the break will not affect board examinations. Any supplementary or ongoing exams will continue according to their scheduled dates during the holiday period.

Education officials advised students and parents to plan accordingly, ensuring that academic routines are minimally disrupted. Schools are also expected to use the break for maintenance and preparation for the upcoming term.

This announcement comes as students and teachers across Sindh prepare for the year-end break, providing an opportunity to rest and recharge before the new term begins. The department highlighted the importance of completing all pending academic work before the holidays to avoid any backlog after schools reopen.

Private and public schools alike are expected to adhere strictly to the announced dates, ensuring uniformity across the province. Parents have been encouraged to keep track of official notifications from their respective schools for any additional instructions related to holiday schedules or examinations.

The Sindh Education Department’s steering committee plays a key role in planning academic calendars, including holidays and examination schedules. Their timely announcement aims to give students, teachers, and parents enough time to prepare for both the holidays and the resumption of classes in the new year.

With the winter break just around the corner, students across Sindh are set to enjoy a well-deserved pause from their academic routines while ensuring that important examinations continue uninterrupted.
