Web desk: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on December 26, 2025, for the Christian community, in addition to the existing holiday on December 25 for Christmas.

According to an official notification issued by the Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department will remain closed on December 26.

Additionally, all government, autonomous, and semi-government institutions, corporations, and local councils under the Sindh government will remain closed on December 26.

However, employees providing essential services are exempted.

The notification also reiterates that December 25 will be observed as a public holiday in connection with both Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.

The holiday will apply to all government and semi-government offices, as well as corporations and local councils operating under the Sindh government.

Winter holidays announced in Peshawar

The University of Peshawar has officially announced its winter holidays, providing relief to students and staff during the cold season.

However, the administration has clarified that academic assessments and examinations will continue according to the scheduled timetable.

According to the official notification, the winter break at the university will begin on December 22 and will apply to all teaching and administrative departments.

University officials stated that the decision was made in line with the seasonal academic calendar.

The notification also mentioned that the University of Peshawar will remain closed during the winter holidays. The regular activities and academic sessions are expected to resume on January 3.
