Sindh govt announces lifetime ban on students who cheat

The Sindh government announced a lifetime ban on students who will get caught cheating in matric and intermediate exams. After this decision, if any student gets caught while cheating, they will not be able to sit in any board exam for the rest of their lives.

According to the details, the Sindh government has prepared a strict policy to deal with the students who cheat in the matric and intermediate exams.

The Sindh education minister, Sardar Shah, and provincial minister for board and universities, Ismail Rahun, in a joint statement, said that there is “zero tolerance policy” on cheating.

A lifetime ban on students

The future of students who cheat could be at stake under the new rules, provincial ministers said. A student caught cheating could be permanently banned from taking board exams, while all papers of a student found involved in cheating would be immediately cancelled.

The joint statement said that any student found in possession of a mobile phone or copying material will be immediately removed from the examination centre and will not be allowed to sit for any ongoing or future board exams.

The Sindh government also warned all the examiners to be fired from their jobs if they were found to be involved in facilitating students and providing material to help them cheat.

No cheating in Sindh anymore

The Sindh government also said that the security of exam centres will be more strict and no outside interference will be tolerated.

Sardar Shah and Ismail Rahu also confirmed that the government will not compromise on the fairness of exams in Sindh. Both ministers stressed that the cheating culture should be eliminated to improve the standard of education.
