The government of Sindh has announced new college timings, which will be in effect from August 1.
As per the officials of the government, new working hours for government colleges have been set across the province.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh College Education Department, separate timings have been introduced for morning and evening shifts.
Under the new schedule, morning classes will begin at 8:30am. On Monday, Thursday and Saturday, colleges operating in the morning shift will close at 1:30pm.
On Fridays, morning classes will end earlier at 11:30am.
For colleges operating in the evening, classes will run from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on regular working days, while on Fridays the evening shift will be held from 2:30pm to 5:00pm.
The revised timetable will apply to government colleges throughout Sindh, according to the official notification.

Sindh MDCAT test date announced
The Sindh MDCAT 2026 will be held on Sunday, August 16, under the supervision of Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS).
According to STS, examination centres have been established in Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Larkana, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Islamabad.
In Karachi, the exam will be conducted at NED University of Engineering and Technology, while candidates in Hyderabad will take the test at Public School Latifabad.
The examination will also be held at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Jamshoro, Mir Sher Muhammad Talpur Public School in Mirpurkhas, Police Training School Ground, Wagon Road in Larkana, Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology in Shaheed Benazirabad, and IBA Public School, Old Airport Road in Sukkur.
STS said that candidates from Sindh who have relocated to Islamabad will take the exam at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) Test Centre.
The testing service added that the MDCAT will last three hours, and candidates are advised to arrive at their examination centres on time.
No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the test is completed.
