Heavy snowfall blanketed the hilly areas on Sunday, turning the landscape white and enhancing the scenic beauty of Kailash.
Authorities reported fresh light snowfall in Neelum Valley, while Grace Valley received up to five feet of snow, trapping residents inside their homes. Teams continued efforts to restore electricity in the affected areas.
Heavy snowfall closed the road leading to Grace Valley, while land routes in Leepa Valley remained cut off, disrupting communication.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army continued its helicopter rescue and relief operation, airlifting a patient with medical complications from a helicopter emergency facility to Rawalpindi Military Hospital.
The army also continued rescue operations for citizens stranded due to snowfall. Authorities restored traffic on the Kotli–Nakiyal Road, rescued several families in Pir Nasura, and provided them with food and other relief supplies.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rain and snowfall across the country from today. Rain and snowfall are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan, while Islamabad, Murree, and Galiyat are also likely to receive rain and snow.

Orakzai District received extreme rain and snowfall that led to round-the-clock relief and rescue operations by security forces.
During the heavy snowfalls, on an emergency basis routes were cleared by security forces to help local residents and to bury their dead in time.
A special relief operation was conducted in remote parts of Orakzai District to assist the local people to face the extreme weather situation.
Recent snow had completely blocked all the routes going to the village of Kalaya Darbar.
The road closures disrupted transportation and made it impossible for a grieving family to complete the burial process of their loved one.
