snowfall hits Pakistan

Unexpected snowfall hits Pakistan during an intense heatwave.

Tourist favourite spot, Babusar Top, is covered in snow, leaving people surprised.

The heavy snowfall has blocked some roads leading to Babusar Top and created serious difficulties in restoring the Babusar road.

According to reports, the snow has been going on for the fourth day now.

Heavy machinery has been sent to the affected areas, and work is underway to clear the roads.

Some social media users have taken to social media, telling the situation of the Babusar Top.

Residents of Skardu said snowfall is still taking place on mountain peaks. Some visitors to Deosai Plains also reported fresh snowfall in recent days.

Officials in Mansehra said the area received more snowfall this year in April compared to previous years.

Weather experts say snowfall after March in northern Pakistan is not unusual. However, they added that the intensity of rain and snow has increased in recent years because of climate change.
