The signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye has sparked widespread praise for Field Marshal Asim Munir, with supporters and social media users describing the development as a major diplomatic achievement.
The agreement was signed in Makkah by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Under the agreement, an armed attack against any one of the three countries will be regarded as an attack against all three, while the pact also expands defence cooperation and strategic coordination among the signatories.
