KP CM Sohail Afridi announces legal action against Absar Alam

Sohail Afridi

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Sohail Afridi has announced legal action against senior journalist Absar Alam.

The CM said that the journalist is lying by claiming that Imran Khan has permanently lost his eyesight, which is not the case.

Sohail Afridi stated that Khan’s vision is improving and will further recover with treatment.

It is pertinent to mention that Imran Khan will be shifted to the hospital soon.

Imran Khan was diagnosed with a serious eye condition known as Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO), a disorder that commonly affects older adults and is linked to underlying cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease.

Earlier, Khan had been allowed a phone call with his sons, Kasim Khan and Suleiman Isa Khan.

The Supreme Court (SC) ordered that Imran be allowed to speak to his children.

It was ordered that both the eye inspection and the phone calls be conducted before February 16 (Monday).
