SP Adeel Akbar suicide case has an update as his approved medical leave reveals a shocking fact.
According to reports, he applied to take some days off as he was feeling sick because of dengue.
His leave was approved from October 20-22; however, according to the new letter, the official approval was given to him on October 23rd, the day he committed suicide.

The official letter, dated October 23rd, says, “Mr Adeel Akbar, PSP, SP/I-Area, Islamabad, is hereby granted 03 days medical leave from 20.10.2025 to 22.10.2025 under Revised Leave Rules, 1980.”
According to some reports, he was also on duty despite his leave on October 21st because of a case. He was strictly ordered to report for duty on that day, and went to Kohat despite being sick.
He did his shift till late at night and returned to Islamabad on the same day.
It is pertinent to mention that there are some conflicting reports; some say he accidentally shot himself. But on the contrary, there are reports that he personally asked for a gun with bullets.
He died on the spot but rushed to the hospital. The authorities have also ruled out any external attack.

On October 23rd, the young officer passed away in Islamabad after shooting himself in the head inside his vehicle.
At the time of his death, his driver and operator were present in the car.
He was serving in the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) and was recently transferred from Balochistan to Islamabad.
On October 25th, he was buried in his village.
Is depression behind this case?
As per reports, Adeel Akbar visited a psychiatrist a few days ago before his death and said to him that he was having some suicidal thoughts.
After that, the doctor informed the officer’s wife and asked her to hide all weapons.
News of his sudden demise shocked his colleagues, with many remembering him as professional and committed.
