Around $43 million is expected to be made in North America in the second weekend of the superhero film, bringing its total box office takings to around $350 million in the region.

However, The Odyssey, the epic Greek myth directed by Christopher Nolan, is also putting pressure on Spider-Man as it continues to rake in the bucks at theatres.
It’s expected to take in about $28 million over the weekend with its estimated $8.8 million on its fourth Friday.
The projected figures would make The Odyssey, which has already enjoyed a long theatrical run, close to $500 million in North America, which is quite a feat for a movie.
The Odyssey has enjoyed solid sales in the high-end, premium format screenings, especially IMAX.
The film has continued to be one of the top movies for the summer and is likely to stay popular.
Despite Nolan’s epic continuing, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still in the lead in the weekend race.
With its second weekend earnings, it looks like Marvel’s newest sequel has been able to translate its massive first weekend into meaningful action at the box office.
The two movies have also been receiving considerable attention not just for their box office domination but also for their story and cinematography.
