According to the Police spokesperson, the citizens and business community have completely rejected the strike called by the extremist religious party.
Traffic and transport systems are running smoothly across all cities, according to the reports. There is no disruption.
Additionally, major transportation routes like the motorway, the GT road, and the Ring road are also fully open.
Punjab Police have deployed personnel at markets, business centres, highways, and other critical locations to ensure public safety.
“Punjab Police is on alert to protect the lives, property and assets of citizens,” said Punjab Inspector General Dr Usman Anwar, talking about the current situation.
It was also said that strict actions will be taken against any individuals attempting to disturb the law and order situation.
“Cases will be registered against miscreants under the Terrorism Act,” further added the Punjab Inspector General Dr Usman Anwar, addressing the current situation.
The police will also leverage technology, including Safe Cities cameras, facial recognition, vehicle registration tracking, and AI-assisted tools, to identify and arrest offenders.
Authorities have emphasised that normal life across Punjab remains unaffected. Further urging the public to carry on with their daily activities without fear.
Two Orange Line Stations Closed in Lahore
The Bund Road Station and the Scheme Mor Stations of the Lahore Orange Line Metro Train have been temporarily closed due to security reasons, officials said on Thursday.
The authorities have advised the passengers to use the nearby Samanabad and Sabzazar stations as alternatives until the situation returns to normal.
