Veteran actor Saba Faisal has once again started a debate in the industry by sharing her views about young actors on a TV show.
She said the distance between senior artists and new actors is increasing. In the past, she explained, actors learned by rehearsing with seniors, watching them work, and spending more time on set.
Saba Faisal added that the culture of learning from seniors has weakened, leaving fewer chances for practical training and discipline.
She said senior actors now often stay away from newcomers to avoid arguments or misunderstandings.
According to her, when seniors try to guide young actors, they sometimes face negative or dismissive reactions.
Saba Faisal said: “If we try to correct them or advise them, we might hear, ‘Excuse me? Who are you?’
“They feel like they already know everything.”
She said many new actors come well trained but still lack basic understanding of movement, blocking and how to use space on screen.
Saba Faisal’s remarks found support among several senior actors who have shared similar concerns in recent years.
Actor Nadia Afgan has also spoken in the past about young actors coming unprepared, forgetting their lines or skipping rehearsals altogether.

The well-known star Alizeh Shah shared an aggressive message on her Instagram story against director and producer Yasir Nawaz. Alizeh Shah wrote about her past working experience with Yasir Nawaz and termed it “not fun.”
Alizeh Shah wrote in her story, “This is my final warning to Yasir Nawaz to refrain from taking my name on any platform. It has been five years since I worked on a project with him, yet he continues to mention my name on nearly every talk show he appears on.”
She also said in her message, “If he mentions my name again or refers to me in any capacity on any future platform, I will proceed with filing a defamation lawsuit against him without further notice.”
