Those who betray Pakistan will face disgrace and failure: Atta Tarar

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that anyone who betrayed Pakistan or tried to defame the country ultimately met with disgrace and failure.

He said the matter would not end there, adding that those responsible would have to answer to the nation and apologise to the families of the martyrs.

Addressing a ceremony in Lahore, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that if Pakistan stands strong, everything else follows. Without the country, no politics, political party, or individual has any significance.

Tarar said it had become a disturbing trend for people to make irresponsible remarks about the country’s martyrs. He urged critics to visit the families of the fallen soldiers and ask them about the sacrifices they have made.

“When mothers pray for martyrdom and send their sons to defend the country, can anyone put a price on that sacrifice? Such thinking is completely condemnable,” he said. He emphasised that disrespecting the state for political purposes is unforgivable.

Referring to Noreen Niazi, Tarar alleged that she tried to allow the Indian media to amplify the issue so they could speak against Pakistan. “There will be no concession on this matter,” he added.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that Pakistan’s prestige and honour are rising across the world, adding that the country is on the path of development, and this journey of progress and growing international respect will continue in the future.

Tarar said the Pakistan Muslim League (N) believes in the politics of public service, and its women leaders have always prioritised serving the people. He added that every PML-N worker is committed to the country’s development and thanked party workers for standing by the party during every difficult time.

Speaking about the Kashmir issue, the federal information minister said that the Kashmiris have only one slogan: “Kashmir will become Pakistan.” He added that the hearts of Kashmiris around the world beat with Pakistan.

He said the sacrifices of the migrant Kashmiris are an important part of history, and their patriotism is beyond question. He vowed that every conspiracy against the Kashmir cause would be defeated.

Tarar further said that the politics of arson, violence, and blockades would not be allowed to succeed. He added that the upcoming elections in Kashmir are of great importance and that their outcome would have significant implications for the region.
