A young man lost his life after a pistol accidentally went off while a TikTok video was being recorded in the Babu area of Tehsil Khwazakhela, Swat.
According to police, a bullet was fired from the pistol of Naveedullah during the video-making attempt, hitting Muaz Khan, son of Azam Khan and a resident of Babu, Khwazakhela. Muaz sustained serious injuries and was immediately shifted to Khwazakhela Hospital for medical treatment, where he succumbed to his wounds.
Police stated that the accused, Naveedullah, son of Itbar Shah, belongs to Shangla district. Following the incident, police took immediate action and arrested Naveedullah. A case has been registered against him, and further investigation is underway.
It is worth mentioning here that in the last week, an 18-year-old youth was fatally shot while allegedly filming a TikTok video with friends in Multan.
According to police, Rehman, son of Fazal Hussain and a resident of the Suraj Miani area within the Saddar Police Station jurisdiction, was making a TikTok video with friends while handling firearms at his home when a pistol accidentally discharged.
The bullet struck Rehman in the abdomen, causing him to collapse. He died at the scene from his injuries. After receiving information about the incident, Saddar police arrived at the scene, took the body into custody, and shifted it to Nishtar Hospital for legal formalities. Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
