Toyota Indus Motor Company has announced a major price cut for its popular SUV, the Toyota Fortuner, according to the reports today.
This is the second time in the last five months that the company has reduced prices.
According to the company, the price of the Fortuner G petrol variant has been reduced by Rs2.504 million.
After the reduction, the new price of the vehicle is Rs12.435 million. Before this, the same model was being sold for Rs14.939 million.
The company has also reduced the price of the Fortuner V petrol variant by Rs2.574 million. Its new price is now Rs14.935 million.
The company said the reduction is being offered as a special promotion for its 35th anniversary.
Auto industry experts say such a large price cut for a premium SUV is unusual in Pakistan.
According to experts, changing market conditions, lower vehicle sales, weak consumer buying power, and competition in the auto market may have influenced the company’s decision.
The Toyota Fortuner is considered one of the most popular premium SUVs in Pakistan. It is widely known for its strong design, off road performance, and family use.
Experts believe the recent price reduction may attract customers back to the market.
However, they say that it remains to be seen how long the special offer will continue. And that whether other car companies will also announce price cuts for their vehicles.
