Trash bin turned vehicle: Is this the future of transport?

Trash bin vehicle transport

We usually see trash bins quietly standing on sidewalks and streets and completely staying still, however, a British researcher has turned this simple and plain object into a record-breaking machine. The British researcher, Michael Wallhead has transformed a trash bin into a vehicle.

He has created the world’s fastest wheeled trash bin that has secured him a new Guinness World Records title. The trash bin can reach a high speed of 66 miles per hour.

For this unusual invention the British inventor created a motorized trash bin fitted with wheels. This was not his first time creating something like this, as he had created another trash bin vehicle that could reach the maximum speed of 55 miles per hour. This time, he pushed his limits further to see how fast he could go with an item that is never associated with travel or speed.

Wallhead has named the moving trash bin “General Waste”. Wallhead has been consistently working on improving the performance and design of the trash bin.

He said that the first record he set was of 55 miles per hour but he was not satisfied with that hence he managed to increase it to 66 miles per hour.

The inspiration for creating “General Waste” comes from his fellow innovator Andy, who also created a similar trash bin in 2020. His trash bin could reach a speed of 45 miles per hour. Wallhead, after seeing Andy’s attempt, got inspired and decided to create his own modified trash bin.

Wallhead began the project with a simple online purchase. The two-wheeled trash bin was bought by him for just 25 dollars. For the modifications, he invested around 900 dollars. The trash bin has a powerful two-stroke engine of 125cc. There were some other changes to,o which enhanced stability and speed.

Wallhead plans to keep making the “General Waste” as fast as possible and hopes that in the future it may be used commonly by people.
