The US congressman and famous politician, John Larson, on Tuesday filed 13 articles of impeachment against the US President, Donald Trump.
John did this in response to Trump’s statement to end the ‘whole civilisation’ of Iran.
Major other reasons were quoted by the Hartford-area Democratic congressman behind filing these articles against Trump.
He accused him of militarisation of domestic law enforcement, entering a war with no gain to the US, the detention and deportation of immigrants, which he called nothing less than racism or ethnicity.
John Larson Trump impeachment
In his statement, John Larson said, “Donald Trump has blown past every requirement to be removed from office. And it’s getting worse. His illegal war in Iran is not only driving up prices for American families, but it has also cost American lives.”
“People across my district know he is unfit to lead and are calling for impeachment. While Republicans in the majority have so far failed to uphold their constitutional responsibility to initiate impeachment proceedings, that does not absolve others of their duty. Members of the Cabinet and those closest to the president can act immediately,” he added.
House Democrats over Trump impeachment
The ‘House of Democrats’ have also released a statement regarding Trump’s threat to kill the whole civilisation of Iran.
According to their official statement posted on X, the House said, “Donald Trump is completely unhinged. His statement threatening to eradicate an entire civilisation shocks the conscience and requires a decisive congressional response.”
By pointing towards the start of World War III, the House added, “The House must come back into session immediately and vote to end this reckless war of choice in the Middle East before Donald Trump plunges our country into World War III.”
The representatives showed deep concern about the soldiers’ deaths caused by the war in the Middle East.
The post said, “Our brave men and women in uniform have been put into harm’s way in the Middle East. Over a dozen have already been killed and hundreds injured.”
“Gas prices are skyrocketing, the cost of living in America is out of control, and billions of taxpayer dollars are being wasted on a reckless war of choice”, said the House.
Iran Trump
The US President, Donald Trump, has announced a ceasefire for two weeks. There will be no strikes in Iran for 14 days, said the US President.
In his post on Truth Social, Trump said that based on the conversation held with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks.
Trump claimed in his post that he received a 10-point proposal from Iran.
He said, “We received a 10-point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate.”
“Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two-week period will allow the Agreement to be finalised and consummated”, he added.
The US President said that this will be a double-sided ceasefire! After he announced a ceasefire between the US and Iran for two weeks.
