United States (US) President Donald Trump has said that he has great respect for Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif, adding that Iran war will end soon.
Talking to Fox News, he reiterated respect for the Pakistani leadership, saying “they are great people”.

Iran war will come to an end “very soon”, says Trump
Trump also said that he believes that the Iran war will come to an end “very soon”.
According to him, the reason his team did not come to Islamabad is the long flight. He added that Iran can reach out to the US.
“If they want to talk, they can come to us or they can call us. You know there is a telephone. We have nice, secure lines,” said the president.
’11 planes were shot down during the Pak-Ind war’: Trump
Trump said he helped prevent a potential nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan, stating, “I’ve settled all these wars, including India-Pakistan. That could have been a nuclear war… I settled it at the very beginning.”
He added that the situation was turning tragic after 11 planes were shot down, and said Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif credited him with saving “30 to 50 million lives”.

Trump praises Pakistan’s leadership, calls Field Marshal ‘fantastic’ and PM Shehbaz ‘great’
A day earlier, Trump praised Pakistan’s leadership, saying, “I think Pakistan is terrific and the field marshal is fantastic. I think the prime minister of Pakistan is great, and they’d like to see something happen.”
Currently, Iran’s Foreign Minister (FM) Abbas Araghchi is in Islamabad.
According to the minister, Iran shared a plan to end the war permanently.
He said, “Very fruitful visit to Pakistan, whose good offices and brotherly efforts to bring back peace to our region we very much value.”
“Shared Iran’s position concerning a workable framework to permanently end the war on Iran. Have yet to see if the U.S. is truly serious about diplomacy”, he added.
