The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has confirmed that the country’s airspace is free of any threats today, and the air defence system has not detected any ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence announced that on April 9, 2026, the UAE air defence systems did not detect any launches from Iran.
Since the onset of the blatant Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have engaged a total of 537 ballistic missiles. 26 cruise missiles, and 2,256 UAVs, the Ministry of Defence reported in a post on social media platform X.
The post further added that no injuries were recorded in recent hours.
This keeps the total number of injuries at 224. These include individuals of various nationalities, including Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino and Pakistani.
In addition to this, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, Tunisian, Moroccan, and Russian people have also been killed.
The post again states that no martyrs or fatalities have been reported in the past hours.

According to the details, since the onset of the blatant Iranian attacks, the total number of martyrs has reached two.
This is in addition to the martyrdom of a Moroccan civilian contracted with the Armed Forces.
‘The total number of civilian fatalities stands at 10,’ it said. ‘From Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, Indian, and Egyptian nationalities,’ it further adds.
The UAE Ministry of Defence once again affirmed its full preparedness to address any threats. And to respond firmly to any attempts that look to undermine the UAE’s security.
The ministry reaffirms the protection of its sovereignty, security and stability, and safeguards national interests.

Previously, the Ministry of Defence announced that the Iranian attacks reached 17 ballistic missiles and 35 drones on April 8.
According to it, the air defence successfully dealt with them.
