In Pakistan, SUPARCO has shared its forecast for Eid ul Azha 2026.

According to astronomical calculations, the new moon will be born on May 17, 2026 at 1:01 AM. The moon will be about 18 hours and 30 minutes old that day.

SUPARCO says there is a high chance of sighting the moon in coastal areas of Pakistan, as there will be about a 60-minute gap between sunset and moonset.

It is expected that the first day of Zill Hijjah may fall on May 18, 2026, that is also a Monday. And Eid ul Azha may be observed on May 27, 2026.

However, the final announcement will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after receiving moon sighting reports from across the country.

The agency said Pakistan is likely to complete 29 days of Zil Qadah. This means the first day of Zil Hajj is expected on Monday, May 18, and Eid ul Azha is likely to fall on May 27.

However, the final announcement regarding the moon sighting and Eid date will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after its official meeting.
