The United Arab Emirates has launched a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa to enhance the ease with which people travel to the country.
The visa allows multiple entries into the UAE by tourists from all countries without the need for a local sponsor or host.
The validity of the visa is for five years, which provides more flexibility for tourism, business or other authorised activities for those who are eligible for the visa.
According to the conditions of the visa, visitors are allowed to stay in the UAE for a period of 90 days for each entry.
The length of the stay can be prolonged up to 180 days, with the approval of the authorities. However, applicants must know that the 180-day period of stay cannot be exceeded in a 12-month period.
When applying for the visa, the applicants are supposed to submit a few kinds of documents. The documents include a valid passport, medical insurance and a return/onward ticket.

In addition, the applicant must have financial ability, evidenced by bank statements showing a minimum balance of US$4,000 (or equivalent in other currencies) for the required period.
Visa charges are approximately AED 3,713 on top of application fees and subject to service charges, depending on the visa application.
Interested candidates may apply via the official UAE immigration platforms, and they must be eligible and possess the necessary documentation.
The UAE’s multiple-entry visa is one of the measures taken to facilitate the entry of foreign nationals and promote their return to the country.
It also underpins the country’s wider tourism and business tourism goals of becoming one of the world’s leading tourism destinations.
The long-term visa is a useful option for tourists who intend to travel to the UAE several times in the coming years and don’t want to go through the process of obtaining a tourist visa again and again.
