Ukraine targets Russian oil port near Finland border

Ukraine launched drones, on Monday targeting a major Russian oil port located near the Finnish border, as reported by both Moscow and Kyiv, resulting in a fire at the site.

Satellite imagery revealed flames and dense clouds of black smoke ascending from the oil terminal in Primorsk, a Russian town positioned on the Gulf of Finland, approximately 50 kilometers (30 miles) from the EU and NATO member states.

Russia has been bombarding Ukraine with daily air strikes, consistently striking its energy infrastructure and causing blackouts.

In response, Ukraine has conducted drone strikes against Russia, mainly focusing on Moscow’s energy and military installations including the recent attack on a Russian oil port.

Earlier, the exiled opposition leader of Belarus warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin was moving nuclear missiles to the border of the European Union amid the Russia Ukraine war.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya stated that Belarus was assisting Russia in escalating its conflict in Ukraine and urged Europe to pay “greater attention to the developments” occurring in the region.
