Pakistan Afghanistan conflict escalates

Earlier, the Defence Minister of Pakistan, Khawaja Asif, confirmed that an open conflict had emerged between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

In a post on X, Khawaja Asif stated, “Following the withdrawal of NATO forces, it was anticipated that peace would be established in Afghanistan and that the Taliban would prioritize the interests of the Afghan populace and regional stability.”

“Nevertheless, the Taliban transformed Afghanistan into a colony of India. They assembled terrorists from across the globe in Afghanistan and commenced the exportation of terrorism. They have stripped their own citizens of fundamental human rights”, he added.

The clashes between Pakistan and the Taliban military of Afghanistan have now entered their third day as foreign nations voiced growing concerns and urged for immediate negotiations.

On Friday, Pakistan conducted strikes targeting Taliban military facilities and positions, including some located in Kabul and Kandahar, marking one of the most significant incursions by Pakistan into its western neighbor in years, according to officials.
