The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued its weather forecast for March, April, and May on Wednesday.
According to the forecast, average temperatures across the country are expected to remain above normal.
PMD predicts March, April, May 2026 weather
A greater rise in temperature is likely in Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Kashmir, and northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Due to higher temperatures, there is a risk that the duration of Rabi crops may shorten.
Rainfall in most parts of the country is expected to remain near normal or slightly above normal. Central and western regions may receive above normal rainfall.
The department said that Sindh, southern Balochistan, and southern Punjab are likely to receive near normal rainfall.
There are chances of heatwaves developing in plain areas, and higher temperatures may lead to an increase in pests and crop diseases.
According to the department, snowmelt may accelerate in Gilgit Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Flood risk Pakistan 2026
Faster glacier melting could increase the risk of Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) events. Rainfall is also expected to improve water levels in reservoirs.
The department further warned of possible strong winds, dust storms, and hailstorms. An increase in pollen allergy cases is also expected in urban areas.
Tomorrow weather: will it rain?
The weather tomorrow, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, is expected to be mostly cloudy and warm.
The temperature is expected to reach around 29°C during the day and drop to about 18°C at night.
However, it may feel as warm as 32°C in the afternoon. The day will begin with a mix of sun and clouds and become mostly cloudy later. There is also a possibility of hazy conditions.
There is only a small chance of rain, around 10 per cent. Light northwest winds of 5 to 10 mph are expected.
The humidity is expected to be around 30 per cent. The UV index will be 3, which is moderate.
