Pakistani security forces conducted a major operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Kharlachi area, resulting in the death of a senior Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA) commander.
According to sources, a key TTA Commander, Nusratullah Alias Kochi, was killed in a fierce exchange of fire, and artillery took place between Pakistani security forces and TTA in the Kharlachi area of Afghanistan, located along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border
Nusratullah, also known as Kochi, held the position of Uluswal commander within the TTA. He was reportedly targeted specifically in the operation.
Sources stated the operation was launched after the TTA violated Pakistan’s border, prompting a strong response from the security forces. The killing of Nusratullah is expected to be a significant setback for TTA operations in the region.
On the other hand, security forces have successfully repelled multiple attacks under Operation Ghazab lil Haq in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), inflicting heavy losses on the Afghan Taliban.
Federal Minister for Information took to X (formerly Twitter), stating that in Balochistan, Afghan Taliban launched physical attack on 16 different locations in the northern parts of the province, including Qilla Saifullah, Noshki and Chaman districts. In addition, fire raids were carried out at 25 locations targeting security posts.
All attacks were effectively repulsed with a total of 27 killed, while several others sustained injuries during the clashes.
During the exchange of fire, one soldier of FC Balochistan North embraced martyrdom while defending the country. Five other soldiers were reported injured and are receiving medical treatment.
Meanwhile, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Afghan Taliban attempted a physical assault at one location and conducted fire raids at 12 different points. Security forces responded promptly and thwarted all attacks without any loss of life on their side.
