Wheat flour costs more in Islamabad

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has released the latest wheat flour prices across the country, showing that Islamabad has the highest price for a 20-kilogram bag.

According to the PBS, a 20kg bag of wheat flour is selling for Rs3,133.33 in Islamabad, while the same bag costs Rs3,093.33 in Rawalpindi.

The price of the 20kg flour bag has increased by Rs100 in one week.

The PBS data shows that flour prices also rose in several other cities. The price increased by Rs100 in Khuzdar, Rs60 in Bahawalpur and Rs40 in Hyderabad. Prices also went up by Rs20 in Larkana and Quetta.

A 20kg flour bag is currently selling for Rs3,100 in Peshawar, Rs2,900 in Bannu and Rs2,700 in Quetta.

In Sindh, the bag costs Rs3,000 in Karachi, Rs2,880 in Hyderabad, Rs2,620 in Larkana and Rs2,500 in Sukkur.

In Punjab, a 20kg bag is selling for Rs2,800 in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha, Multan and Bahawalpur, while Lahore has the lowest price at Rs2,300 among the listed Punjab cities.

The latest figures show significant differences in wheat flour prices across the country, with Islamabad recording the highest rate.
